Kate Hartman

Associate Professor, OCAD University
Kate Hartman is an artist, technologist, and educator whose work spans the fields of physical computing, wearable electronics, and conceptual art. Her work has been exhibited internationally and featured by the New York Times, BBC, CBC, NPR, in books such as “Fashionable Technology” and “Art Science Now”. She was a speaker at TED 2011 and her work is included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Hartman is based in Toronto at OCAD University where she is the Associate Professor of Wearable & Mobile Technology and Director of the Social Body Lab. She is also the director of ITP Camp, a summer program at ITP/NYU. Hartman enjoys bicycles, rock climbing, and someday hopes to work in Antarctica.


Monisha Perkash

CEO & founder, Lumo BodyTech
Monisha Perkash is CEO & Co-founder at Lumo BodyTech. They are the makers of the Lumo Lift posture and activity coach, one of TIME Magazine’s 25 Best Inventions of 2014, and are shaking up the wearable tech space with innovative designs to help people look and feel great. Lumo is backed by Madrona Ventures, Eric Schmidt’s Innovation Endeavors, and Jerry Yang’s AME Cloud Ventures. Monisha previously served as CEO and Co-Founder of TuitionCoach (acquired by SimpleTuition), where she oversaw the financing, launch, and general management of the start-up. After the acquisition, she stayed on with SimpleTuition as VP Products. Monisha has an MBA from Stanford and a BA from Yale.

Redg Snodgrass is the co-founder and CEO of Wearable World and ReadWrite, the leading media and venture company committed to Wearable technology and the internet of things.
