Shawn Jordan, Ph.D.

Shawn Jordan, Ph.D. teaches context-centered embedded systems design courses. Dr. Jordan studies the use of context in both K-12 and undergraduate engineering design education. He received is B.S. and M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and his Ph.D. in Engineering Education, from Purdue University. Dr. Jordan is the PI on the NSF-funded project “Might Young Makers be the Engineers of the Future?”, and is Co-PI on the project “Should Makers be the Engineers of the Future?”. Dr. Jordan also led a team to two Rube Goldberg Machine Contest championships, co-founded the STEAM Labs™ engineering design program, and held a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest working Rube Goldberg
